Finance Operations Leader Job Description

Objective: The Finance Operations Leader is tasked with effectively managing and overseeing financial activities within our organization. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring accuracy and compliance in billing and payroll functions. The Finance Operations Leader will provide direction to the finance team while collaborating with other departments, emphasizing operational efficiency for the overall success of the organization.

Salary: Depending on experience

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the executive team with the operational strategy and financial planning.
  • Prepare reports for annual operational benchmarks, including revenue, gross profit, and other key performance indicators, monitoring progress.
  • Generate monthly reports for accounts payable and receivable.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of financial transactions across various platforms, including banking systems and accounting software. Collaborate with the accounting team for month-end processes, ensuring precision and adherence to financial reporting standards.
  • Oversee the grant management process, including timely submission of reimbursement requests and maintaining accurate records for all grant-related documentation.
  • Assist clients with inquiries and resolve any billing discrepancies.
  • Manage all aspects of payroll processing, including reviewing staff time entries, ensuring accuracy in payroll reports, and addressing any related questions or issues.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the finance department, focusing on operational effectiveness and performance in billing and payroll processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, and communicate these to all team members.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Handle new client inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and improve quality care.
  • Ensure that authorizations are current and accurately entered into the system.
  • Participate in on-call duties as scheduled.
  • Provide necessary reports to management as required.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed for the successful operation of the organization.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial or accounting roles.
  • A minimum of 3 years of office experience, ideally in a management or leadership position.
