Seeking a Motivated Surgical Technician or RN

Iowa Orthopaedic Center PC is actively seeking a motivated Surgical Technician or RN to join our team at our state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center. In this role, you will care for patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, and be an integral team member providing surgical support for all bone, muscle, joint, and spine cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scrubs surgical cases and maintains knowledge of equipment set-up and functioning.
  • Assists in the circulating role under the direct supervision of an RN and prepares for surgical cases in an efficient manner.
  • Provides a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to standards of aseptic technique and department policy.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, team members, and ancillary staff.
  • Participates in the performance improvement process and adheres to regulatory compliance throughout the organization.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program and/or RN license to practice in the State of Iowa.
  • Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the operating room and knowledge of medical terminology related to surgical procedures.
  • Prior experience in Orthopedics is preferred, and the ability to maintain a BLS qualification for Surgical Technicians and ACLS for RNs.
  • Excellent data collection and documentation skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to maintain composure in emergency, critical, and/or uncommon situations.
