Position Summary: The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant will deliver direct patient care in accordance with the directives of the supervising Physical Therapist. Key responsibilities include implementing the treatment plan, guiding patients through exercises and home care routines, and ensuring effective communication with the patient and referring healthcare providers.
Responsibilities:
- Implement the treatment plan and conduct follow-up sessions with an emphasis on rehabilitation.
- Effectively instruct and educate patients on exercises, home care routines, and overall wellness.
- Maintain clear communication with the patient, supervising therapist, and referring healthcare provider regarding the patient's treatment plan and progress.
- Ensure timely and precise documentation of patient interactions.
- Exhibit strong organizational and planning capabilities.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California.
- Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
