Key Responsibilities:

Your role will involve a combination of hands-on maintenance capabilities, extensive equipment knowledge, and effective communication to enhance the reliability and efficiency of our assets.

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance across the facility.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving equipment reliability and performance.
  • Engage in root cause analysis and Engineering-led enhancements to streamline operations.
  • Utilize advanced methodologies and condition-based monitoring for asset optimization.
  • Act as a deputy to the Engineering Team Leader and provide mentorship to team members and apprentices.
  • Ensure all assets meet stringent standards for maximum operational availability.
  • Provide Mechanical and Electrical support for various assets and projects within your expertise.
  • Promote a culture of Safety, Quality, and Compliance, including participation in audits and client visits.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Proven technical Engineering experience.
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical fields, such as a BTEC Engineering certificate or equivalent.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting a variety of equipment.
  • Experience in risk assessment and managing safe working practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to prioritize effectively in dynamic settings.
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies and Asset Care Excellence techniques.
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to execution efficiently.

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with Total Productive Maintenance or Operator-Led Asset Care.
  • Familiarity with statutory compliance in high-risk environments.
  • Knowledge of CMMS and programming PLCs.
  • Exposure to the Food or FMCG sectors.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Time-Served Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, HNC, or equivalent technical certification.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
