Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Preferred Primary Care Physicians, Inc. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians and nurses with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
  • Escort patients to and from exam or treatment rooms as needed.
  • Record patient data, including vital signs, height, and weight, allergies, medications, chief complaint, and reason for visit.
  • Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as directed by the physician.
  • Answer and return patient phone calls as directed.
  • Obtain patient record information, lab data, diagnostics, consults, and other necessary data for patient assessment.
  • Assist with exams and procedures as requested.
  • Prepare, maintain, and stock exam and treatment rooms.
  • Process instruments and equipment as needed.
  • Inform physicians of patient reschedules or no-shows.
  • Assist with delegated patient education activities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of medical assisting is required.
  • Six months of medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting is preferred.
