Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides high-quality patient care under the supervision of the provider. Key responsibilities include administering prescribed medications and treatments, greeting patients, and preparing them for physical examinations. The LPN will also obtain vital signs, observe and record patient reactions to medications and treatments, and educate patients and families about medications and treatment instructions.

Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments
  • Greet patients and prepare them for physical examinations
  • Obtain vital signs, including height/weight, blood pressure, and medical history information
  • Observe, record, and report patient reactions to medications and treatments
  • Instruct patients and families about medications and treatment instructions
  • Educate patients and families about diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness
Requirements
  • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred
  • One year of clinical practice preferred
  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of SD and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required
Work Schedule

The LPN will work Monday - Friday, with 72 hours every 2 weeks. The schedule includes 8:00 am - 5:00 pm shifts, with occasional weekend shifts and evening and Saturday Urgent Care rotations.
