The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care under the supervision of the provider. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. Greet patients and prepare them for physical examinations. Obtain height/weight, blood pressure and medical history information. Observe, record and report patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to the provider. Instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Educate patient and family about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care under the supervision of the provider.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Greet patients and prepare them for physical examinations.
- Obtain height/weight, blood pressure and medical history information.
- Observe, record and report patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to the provider.
- Instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Educate patient and family about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness.
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
- One year of clinical practice preferred.
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of SD and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
Varied shifts; 40 hours 2 weeks. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. One Saturday morning shift very 8-12 weeks.
PayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $31.50 per hour.
