About the Role

This pivotal full-time, hybrid position is designed to lead initiatives in AI education, teacher engagement, and the development of our online resource platform. As an Expert in Residence, you will leverage advanced expertise in educational technology, curriculum development, and strategic partnerships to enhance STE(A)M education for K-12 educators and students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • AI Curriculum Development: Design and implement an AI curriculum tailored for K-12 educators and students, ensuring it aligns with current educational standards and STE(A)M Truck's mission.
  • Teacher Engagement: Engage with educators through workshops, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching to enhance their understanding and integration of AI tools in teaching.
  • Resource Platform Development: Lead the design and development of an online resource platform that hosts educational materials, curriculum guides, and interactive learning modules focused on AI and STE(A)M education.
  • Collaboration and Outreach: Work closely with educational institutions, technology partners, and community stakeholders to promote AI literacy and resource accessibility.
Quantifiable Outputs:
  1. Deliver a comprehensive AI curriculum for at least three different grade ranges within the first 3 months.
  2. Conduct a minimum of 10 workshops or training sessions for educators by the end of the term.
  3. Successfully launch an online resource platform with at least 20 initial resources and achieve 1,000 unique educator logins within 6 months.
  4. Establish or deepen at least 5 new strategic partnerships that enhance STE(A)M Truck's educational outreach.
Requirements:
  • An advanced degree in Education, Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and teacher training, preferably with a focus on technology and AI.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with educators, students, and partners.
  • Experience in developing and managing educational platforms or learning management systems.
