We are looking for a Product Owner/System Engineer with a focus on electro-mechanical systems to play a pivotal role in bridging business acumen with technical expertise. This position will involve implementing technical strategies, assessing products, and delivering exceptional cross-functional technical support that benefits the organization. You will collaborate with a skilled team of engineers and possess the interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with project managers and leadership to deliver products that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and managing requirement documentation, including operational theories and metrics, for New Product Development (NPI) and system implementations to guide solution definition.
  • Creating a traceability matrix linking higher-level requirements to detailed specifications.
  • Conducting feasibility and optimization analyses for proposed designs.
  • Executing Product Owner duties, including defect management, epic and story development, refinement, and sprint coordination.
  • Proactively engaging with cross-functional teams to address deviations in requirements or system assumptions during product development and deployment.
  • Supporting the validation and verification processes throughout the Product Development Lifecycle. Assisting in the creation and maintenance of test plans, procedures, and reports to demonstrate desired performance and validate requirements.
  • Performing functional and performance analysis on gathered data.
  • Documenting, diagnosing, and resolving observed issues and anomalies, providing comprehensive trouble reports.
  • Assisting in the formulation of strategic roadmaps for products and systems.
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with automation and electro-mechanical components and devices.
  • Cross-disciplinary engineering knowledge with demonstrable experience in software engineering for electro-mechanical products or systems.
  • Strong writing and documentation skills to produce clear and coherent requirement documents.
  • Ability to resolve challenges in alignment with our company mission, values, and financial goals.
  • Critical thinking skills to identify, assess, and propose solutions to complex system issues.
  • Willingness to become a subject matter expert while collaborating with development teams.
  • Experience with standard engineering tools, including Pugh Matrices, 8D, and DFMEA.
  • Familiarity with modern software development methodologies.
  • Experience in conducting comparative analyses.
  • Proficiency in Jira or equivalent work management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably in Software Engineering or Robotics, with 1 to 3 years of experience in designing or developing electro-mechanical products or systems.
