Job Summary

We are seeking an American Board of Anesthesiology certified or certification-eligible Anesthesiologist to join our growing team in Culpeper, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have experience with labor and delivery, basic general surgery, and spine cases, as well as a passion for rural practice and a desire to live in a smaller town.

Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care
  • Perform basic peripheral nerve blocks
  • Participate in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation
  • Medical supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)
  • Formulate a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care
  • Implement monitors and adjust patients physiologic condition as appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patients needs
  • Transfer the responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers post-operatively to assure continuity of care and patient safety
  • Support operating room procedures
  • Participate in additional areas of responsibility
  • Assume responsibility for professional development of self and contribute to and assist with the professional development of others
