CRNA Anesthesiology Specialist

UVA Health System is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide high-quality anesthesia care to patients in various inpatient and outpatient surgical settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in collaboration with attending anesthesiologists.
  • Participate in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation, formulating a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care.
  • Implement and adjust patients' physiologic condition as appropriate for the type of anesthesia and specific patient needs.
  • Transfer responsibility for patient care to other qualified providers post-operatively to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
  • Support operating room procedures and participate in additional areas of responsibility within the expertise of the individual CRNA.
Requirements:
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
  • Ability to work with management teams and physicians, demonstrating customer service skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
