Position Overview: This role is intended for individuals without prior law enforcement experience or academy training. Selected candidates will undergo training at the Police Academy and, upon completion, will be sworn in as Police Officers.

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to learn and apply laws and departmental policies.
- Capable of making quick and sound decisions in various situations.
- Proficient in writing clear and concise reports.
- Physically capable of completing academy training.
- Ability to interact effectively with the public.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. This is an entry-level position, and no prior work experience is necessary.
Licensing Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Candidates must also be able to complete California POST basic academy training.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
- Employees are required to refrain from tobacco use while on duty.
- Background checks will be conducted to ensure candidates meet the standards of responsibility and integrity.
Physical Demands:
Incumbents must be able to perform various physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting. Candidates should have good vision and hearing capabilities.
Work Environment:
Employees may encounter various environmental conditions, including exposure to weather elements and other potential hazards.
