Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Medical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for adhering to our hospital's standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities- Obtain medical histories and symptoms from clients through professional communication and education.
- Perform laboratory procedures, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals.
- Conduct diagnostic imaging and implement safety protocols for fellow staff members.
- Nursing skills, including restraining patients, administering medications, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring.
- Competently perform dental prophylaxis.
- Urgent care or ER experience is preferred.
- Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
- Associate degree in Veterinary Technology.

We operate on a 10-hour shift schedule, with weekends as needed. Our clinic hours are Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon 12pm-10pm, Closed Tuesday & Wednesday.
License/CertificationVeterinary Technician Certification/License is required.
