Job Title: Construction Project Manager

At BBSI of the Carolinas, we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to lead our government commercial construction projects from inception to completion. As a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management, particularly within the construction industry, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning and Execution:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management strategies.
    • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring that project milestones and deliverables are met according to the established schedule.
  2. Budget and Cost Management:

    • Oversee project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial plans.
    • Monitor and manage all project expenditures and report on budget variances.
  3. Team Leadership and Collaboration:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, including subcontractors, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
    • Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring clear communication and coordination among all team members.
  4. Regulatory Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure that all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes, safety standards, and environmental laws.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect all personnel on-site.
  5. Stakeholder Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
    • Provide regular updates on project status, addressing any concerns or requests from stakeholders.
  6. Quality Control:

    • Ensure that all work is performed to the highest quality standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to verify that construction is progressing according to plans and specifications.
  7. Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
    • Monitor risk factors throughout the project and adjust plans accordingly.
  8. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, schedules, and reports.
    • Prepare and present detailed project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management within the commercial construction industry, with government contracts.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
