Retail Store Associate Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team at Lamps Plus. As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process incoming retail merchandise deliveries, ensuring accurate receipt and stocking of items.
  • Count and verify receipt of merchandise to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate with Store Manager or Support Supervisor regarding discrepancies or damaged items.
  • Arrange merchandise on shelves according to style, size, and type, maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Assist with tracking inventory, tagging, or labeling of shelving as needed.
  • Exercise care when unpacking, storing, transferring, receiving, hanging, or displaying items to avoid damage and injury.
  • Perform cashier duties and clerical tasks such as filing, bank deposits, data entry, reports, and audits.
  • Prepare product for display, including assembling, inserting bulbs, wiring, and pricing merchandise for the sales floor.
  • Perform auxiliary duties related to maintenance of stockroom, sales floor, and retail displays, including cleaning, dusting, and ensuring showroom aisles are clear and lamp cords are hidden.
  • Utilize the register or Kiosk to ring out sales or check product availability, handling merchandise and currency in accordance with Corporate Security policies.
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and focus, assisting with Customer Stock Checks and other team members as needed.
Requirements:
  • Motivated and upbeat individual with a passion for working with people and providing superior customer service.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable automobile for conducting in-home demonstrations/consultations.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Availability to work day shifts, occasional evenings, and weekends, with regular job attendance required.
