Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker Master of Social Work to join our team at McLaren Health Care. As a key member of our Behavioral Health department, you will play a vital role in providing assessment and intervention services to clients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' situations, gathering medical, psychological, emotional, and social information.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, setting goals with clients and their families.
  • Collaborate with community resources to provide referrals, appointments, and support.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and department case documentation.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and provide consultation to clinical staff.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • State of Michigan license as a Licensed Master's Social Worker.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in an acute care psychiatric facility.
  • BLS certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to manage patients with diverse personalities.
  • Current knowledge of treatment theories, practices, and techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and provide sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
