Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for executing comprehensive accounting functions, which encompass accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and tax obligations. This role also involves maintaining systems for the collection, analysis, and reporting of financial information.

Initially, the Accounting Manager will aid in establishing the company's operational standards and systems, which will facilitate the management of investments and budgets and support the development of facilities and equipment. Following the establishment of the corporation, the Accounting Manager will oversee the adherence to these standards and systems, with opportunities for ongoing improvements as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the general ledger system
  • Prepare and review ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Assist with quarterly and annual financial audit preparations
  • Coordinate the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and regulatory reports as needed
  • Assess and enhance internal accounting processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficient in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
  • Familiarity with applicable accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • SAP experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles
  • Working knowledge of the Accounting and Finance sectors
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is preferred but not required

Certificates, Licenses, and Registration:

  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory
