Job SummaryThe Maintenance Mechanic I will be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks in all areas of the plant, including mechanical repairs, building repairs, and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance tasks on a scheduled or emergency basis, including mechanical repairs, building repairs, and equipment maintenance.
- Repair and maintain industrial equipment, including pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
- Communicate effectively with production teams to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
- Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with new installations and other projects as requested by the supervisor.
- Work with contractors to plan and implement installation of new equipment or systems.
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in electrical or instrumentation maintenance and repair.
- Ability to perform job duties while wearing a respirator.
- Ability to lift and work overhead, to stoop and to crouch.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at elevations of 175 ft.
- Understanding of plant operational processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment operations and care.
- Mechanical experience.
- Basic electrical experience.
- Pneumatic experience.
- Hydraulic experience.
- Welding experience preferred.
- Basic PC/PLC experience preferred.
- Forklift experience.
- Manlift experience.
- Knowledgeable of PPE's and Fall Protection.
- Knowledgeable in Lockout Blockout (Machine Specific).
- Proficiency with basic computer software preferred.
