Job Summary

As a key member of the Northwest Community Bank team, the Financial Controller will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial management reports. This position requires a high degree of analytical skill, sound judgment, and decision-making ability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department, ensuring the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of various Asset/Liability Management reports, Investment purchasing, processing, and reporting, and the calculation of the Allowance for Credit Losses.
  • Manage the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
  • Supervise department staff, conducting periodic performance reviews, providing ongoing counsel, training, goal setting, development, and motivation.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the company's value.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent with (5) five to (7) seven years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • One (1) year of relevant banking or financial services experience, including exposure to Asset/Liability Management and Allowance for Credit Loss Analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and demonstrate good organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in using spreadsheet software and PC computer skills, including the Internet and Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Working Conditions

The employee is regularly required to sit, use hand to finger, handle controls, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
