Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits to locations such as petrochemical facilities, construction sites, and commercial buildings to perform reality capture using lidar and photogrammetry equipment, including terrestrial and mobile scanners.
  • Prepare job sites by establishing targets, planning equipment layout, and capturing data according to project specifications.
  • After data collection, perform upload, processing, and registration tasks using software tools like Faro Scene, Autodesk ReCap, and NavVis Ivion.
  • Utilize web viewers to facilitate remote access for clients.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly charged and equipped with functional memory cards/drives before returning to the office.
  • Archive and back up scan data upon completion of each project.
  • Provide training to clients on scan viewing software as needed, either in person or through virtual meetings.
  • Carry out additional related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with Faro Scene, Cyclone, LFM, Autodesk ReCap, and/or NavVis Ivion is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in CAD drafting, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in reality capture and/or surveying is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk on-site with equipment for extended periods.
  • Capability to climb ladders and stairs while carrying equipment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 20-30 lbs, with the capacity to lift up to 60 lbs for transporting equipment in and out of vehicles.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Adherence to safety protocols at client sites is mandatory.
  • A TWIC card will be required for site access, and candidates must pass a background check to obtain this credential.
