Job Summary

Rosecrance Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addiction Counselor to join our residential team. As a key member of our team, you will provide continuity of program services in a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, individual, group, and family counseling sessions for patients and/or family members.
  • Ensure client service records are maintained consistent with rules and regulations.
  • Maintain communications with all staff, including admissions, therapeutic passes, and discharge plans.
  • Present workshops, lectures, and training to clients, families, employees, and community groups.
  • Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the framework of the law.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies, or other related field, or equivalent experience and training.
  • Illinois Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or licensed in Illinois as a LSW or LPC, which supersedes the CADC within 2 years of employment in substance use disorder services.
