Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Technician to join our team at NorthBay Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the Registered Nurse in providing exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and implement task-specific functions as directed by the Registered Nurse.
  • Deliver care that is specific to the special behaviors/needs of the patient and age-appropriate for the individual.
  • Communicate pertinent patient information and responses to interventions to the appropriate nurses and document in the medical record.
  • Assist nurses and physicians with department-specific procedures.
  • Maintain competencies in skills, as assigned through annual skills training and in identified department training.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • EMT, EMT-P certification preferred, or equivalent training or hospital experience required.
  • Current AHA BLS required.
  • Minimum Six (6) months of related experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT or Paramedic), Certified Nursing Assistant, or Medical Assistant, or equivalent experience.
