Position Overview:
HDR is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Specialist to join our Construction Services Group in South Florida. This role is pivotal in supporting our construction initiatives and enhancing our project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collect and analyze data related to construction materials.
2. Assist section leaders in the materials department with research initiatives.
3. Support various construction projects by gathering relevant data.
4. Supervise the activities of other data analysts.
5. Conduct quality assurance checks on deliverables and processes.
6. Perform additional tasks as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with construction plans and project specifications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a professional team.
- Proficient in organizing data and generating reports with project controls.
- Knowledge of construction materials and inspection practices for roadway and bridge projects.
- Understanding of necessary computer programs for FDOT-related duties.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract-related roles; advanced degrees or certifications may substitute for experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contracting principles and client requirements.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel functionalities.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
