Director of Marketing and Public Relations

Job Overview: The Director of Marketing and Public Relations will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and PR strategies with a focus on revenue and performance. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for hospitality, a deep understanding of the travel and tourism industry, and the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement integrated marketing and PR strategies for both resorts.
- Identify target markets and create tailored campaigns to attract diverse guest segments.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
- Marketing Campaigns:
- Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, print, social media, and email marketing.
- Utilize SEO, SEM, and PPC strategies to increase online presence and drive traffic to the resorts' websites.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Management:
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Brand Strategy to ensure alignment of brand and voice.
- Public Relations:
- Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and industry partners.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
- Organize and manage media events, press tours, and other PR initiatives to generate positive coverage.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team, conducting regular evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
- Ensure continuous professional development for team members through training and development opportunities.
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with our agency partners.
- Event Promotion:
- Coordinate marketing efforts for events and conferences held at both resorts.
- Develop promotional materials and strategies to maximize attendance and engagement.
- Collaborate with event organizers to ensure seamless execution and positive guest experiences.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the marketing and PR budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Track expenditures and ROI, making data-driven decisions to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing and public relations, within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and PR campaigns.
- A passion for travel, hospitality, and the outdoors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
