Human Resources Director Opportunity

Athena Health Care Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Director to join our dynamic care team at Marlborough Hills Rehab.

This role will oversee and assist in the provision of human resources services, including employee benefits administration, recruitment and employment, human resource policies, procedures, employee and labor relations, and management systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize, prioritize, and coordinate all administrative activities of assigned facility/facilities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized administrative files, records, license verification, and facilities policy books.
  • Respond to employee questions and problems pertaining to the eligibility and availability of benefits.
  • Maintain facilities personnel files, ensure the timely completion of all required evaluations and paperwork, coordinate and manage accurate and organized personnel files.
  • Supervise facility employees, including interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and separation.
  • Assist in talent management, recruitment, and retention of facility/facilities employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews following employee separation.
  • Participate in internal safety committee meetings to ensure employee safety and timely processing of any work-related injury claim.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee and resident-related information.
  • Complete professional license/certification verifications as well as ongoing verification throughout employee's employment.
  • Perform secretarial duties, record-keeping functions, administrative detail, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate inter/intra facilities communication.
  • Complete all background check processes in accordance with all federal and state specific regulations and facility protocols.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Proficient in composition of verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient with computer software programs (ADP Vantage, Microsoft Word & Excel, etc.).
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all employee and resident-related information.
  • Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to hospital and long-term care administrative procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of human resources law, regulations, and guidelines such as FMLA, ADA, OSHA, I-9, employment eligibility, and EEO1.
