About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Brock & Company Inc. - Marlborough. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the production, cooking, and service of all hot and cold food required at our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Production: Assist in the preparation and cooking of soups, sauces, salads, entrees, catering, and other items as determined by the Chef Manager.
  • Station Setup: Ensure that all equipment and food are properly set up prior to service, as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Purchasing and Inventory: Assist management in purchasing, inventory control, and training to ensure efficient operations.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to health, safety, and food handling regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous, helpful, and friendly manner at all times.
Requirements
  • Culinary Skills: Comprehension of verbal and written food recipes, production orders, cooking instructions, and techniques for daily menu preparation.
  • Experience: Background in banquet or catering production is preferred.
  • Health and Safety: Follow all outlined health and safety regulations regarding equipment use and personal hygiene.
  • Attitude and Physical Demands: Positive can-do attitude, ability to stand for extended periods, and lifting/moving of food, food containers, and other non-food items.
  • COVID-19 Protocols: Adhere to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
