Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bus Server to join our team at Houlihan's Restaurant and Bar. As a Bus Server, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Table Setting and Maintenance
    • Set tables with dishes, silverware, and glassware, and condiments as required.
    • Clear soiled dishes, silverware, linens, and glassware from dining tables and wipe tables and chairs clean with sanitizer.
  • Floor Care
    • Vacuum floors directly under and around dining tables.
  • Assisting Crew Members
    • Maintain cleanliness of your station and work areas.
    • Perform side work during shift downtime, including rolling silverware, restocking condiment holders, cleaning work areas, and cleaning bathrooms.
    • Refill ice bins in service stations and bars.
    • Deliver clean dishes to cooks or expo lines.
  • Housekeeping
    • Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors throughout the restaurant.
    • Empty trash containers on expo, at service stations, and behind bars.
    • Clean spills or accidents in a thorough and timely manner.
    • Perform cleaning or maintenance tasks as requested, such as light bulbs, blinds, and cleaning drains and bathrooms.
    Requirements
    • Physical Demands
      • Extensive standing and walking for up to 8 hours.
      • Must be able to see at a distance (20 feet), at close range (12 inches), distinguish between shapes, and utilize peripheral vision to avoid hazards.
      • Must be able to communicate clearly.
      • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold.
      • Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 2 1/2 - 3 feet.
      • Must have high levels of mobility and flexibility in the workspace.
      • Must have time management skills.
      • Must be able to fit through openings 30 inches wide.
      • Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy pressure and stress during busy times.
      • Bending, reaching, walking, carrying trays of food products weighing about 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
    • Supervision and Training
      • Receives direction and training from the Kitchen Manager or Manager on Duty as to specific procedures and assignments.
    • Knowledge and Skills
      • Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service can be taught through in-house training.
    • Experience
      • No prior experience is required.
    Compensation

$11.08 per hour
