Job Description

The Building People, LLC, is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for implementing and executing a comprehensive operations and maintenance program to ensure our buildings and grounds are properly monitored and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and execute a comprehensive operations and maintenance program
  • Ensure buildings and grounds are properly monitored and maintained
  • Provide leadership and management support for the Project Management Office and associated staff
  • Coordinate all technical and business aspects of the project, including client interface and presentations
  • Develop and deliver program presentations to various audiences, including project team, clients, executive leadership, and key stakeholders
  • Ensure deliverable submissions are completed timely, accurately, and are in contractual compliance
  • Lead and manage budget process at the contract level
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning to execution
  • Perform internal quality control reviews to ensure projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of O&M/Facilities Management type experience, with at least 5 years in a program management/supervisory role
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
  • Understanding of interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
  • Experience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with strong leadership, project management, team building, and presentation skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or a Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) certificate
  • Federal contracting experience in managing O&M contracts
  • CMMS/Maximo experience
  • Deltek/Costpoint financial system experience
  • BAS/BMS operations and management experience
