Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver essential nursing care and treatment to residents in accordance with licensure and state regulations.
  • Conduct nursing assessments and evaluations for both current and prospective residents, adhering to federal and state guidelines.
  • Ensure that infection control protocols are well understood and implemented by all staff members.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor outcomes, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Act as a liaison and advocate for residents, collaborating with physicians and external nursing personnel.

Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Facilitate effective communication among team members through comprehensive shift reports, addressing resident care needs.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team by conducting rounds and offering coaching on service delivery and process enhancements.

Resident Engagement:

  • Serve as a primary contact for resident health care inquiries, proactively informing stakeholders of any changes in resident conditions.
  • Engage with families to discuss the health care services available within the community.
  • Promote the range of services offered to external medical providers to enhance resident care.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse certification.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, balancing indoor and outdoor settings.
