Position Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Labor Compliance Specialist to become a vital part of our construction team. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with labor laws, regulations, and standards. The successful candidate will manage contracts, collaborate with subcontractors, assess risks, and ensure adherence to prevailing wage requirements. This position offers a dynamic work environment that values teamwork and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of labor compliance, including certified payroll and adherence to labor laws.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to guarantee compliance with labor regulations.
- Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance with all terms.
- Implement strategies to mitigate potential labor-related risks.
- Maintain organized labor compliance documentation, ensuring accuracy and currency.
- Communicate effectively with various departments and external agencies regarding compliance matters.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance with labor laws.
- Develop and deliver training programs on labor compliance for employees and subcontractors.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws and ensure company practices align with these changes.
- Address and resolve labor compliance issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction sector.
- Expertise in certified payroll, labor compliance, and contract management.
- Thorough understanding of labor laws and regulations.
- Strong background in risk management and auditing.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage extensive documentation.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex information effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address compliance issues.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
