Facilities Support Worker

This part-time role offers a unique blend of flexibility and structure, with 8 hours worked on Monday and Wednesday, and 4 hours on Friday after 2:00 PM. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our premises.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Dusting and damp wiping furniture, desks, tables, ledges, window sills, and other external surfaces.
- Cleaning lunchroom/kitchen areas, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Maintaining cleaning inventory, ordering new products as needed and keeping supply areas organized.
- Emptying waste bins and recycling bins, transporting them to designated collection points.
- Replenishing consumable items, such as soap and toilet paper, within the contract requirements.
- Vacuuming carpets and walk-off mats, including edges and behind furniture.
- Mopping floors using wet or damp mops.
- Maintaining and cleaning restrooms, including mirrors, toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers, and partitions.
- Cleaning entrance glass, inside and out, to remove smudges and fingerprints.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Good communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
- Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them, ensuring efficient and effective cleaning practices.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners, guaranteeing a safe working environment.
- Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces, upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Good organizational skills, allowing you to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating your ability to learn and adapt.
- Valid driver's license issued by the state where you intend to work, enabling you to travel safely and efficiently.
- Strong time management and customer service skills, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and a smooth workflow.
- Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items for extended periods, accommodating the physical demands of the role.
- Attention to detail, guaranteeing accuracy and precision in all aspects of your work.
- Commitment to internal and external customer service, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Team player attitude, promoting collaboration and mutual respect among colleagues.
We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
