Responsibilities

Program Overview

Our Intercept program caters to a diverse group of youth, including those engaged with various child-serving systems and those at significant risk of family separation. This initiative focuses on preventing out-of-home placements by supporting families in maintaining youth within their home settings. The role involves delivering intensive home-based therapy to families.

Position Overview

  • Manage a small caseload of 4-6 families
  • Conduct family therapy sessions three times weekly at the convenience of the families in their residences
  • Provide rotating on-call support to families during weekdays and weekends
  • Participate in three supervision meetings weekly
  • Utilize web-based documentation tools (voice recognition technology available in most locations)
  • Deliver treatment in the homes of individual families across various settings and communities

Additional Information

The schedule is adaptable and non-traditional, designed around the availability of the youth and families served.

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, a personal vehicle for work-related tasks, and auto insurance.

Community-based staff will receive reimbursement for applicable mileage.

Qualifications

Requirements

Fluency in both English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.

A Master's degree in a social services field is preferred; however, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is mandatory.

Acceptable degrees include social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Other degrees will be assessed to determine if they meet the qualifications.

A minimum of one year of experience working with individuals or families in crisis intervention settings.

Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Exceptional written, verbal, and oral communication skills.

Capability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

Basic computer proficiency.

Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
