Traffic Control Specialist

Rivers Safety is seeking a skilled Flagger to work in the Burlington, NC area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe movement of traffic around construction sites.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the construction team to establish safe traffic flow and adhere to safety regulations.
- Direct traffic using Department of Transportation guidelines and flag motorists to warn them of obstacles or repair work ahead.
- Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones, including warning signs, traffic cones, and other devices.
- Work in hazardous environments and drive company vehicles safely.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear necessary equipment.
- Perform daily inspections and testing of assigned tools and equipment.
- Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
- Ability to work in various temperatures and weather conditions.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and lift up to 55 pounds occasionally.
- Physical ability to perform flagging duties and sufficient eyesight to judge distances.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to work long hours and overtime.
- Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
- Valid Driver's License.
