Pharmacy Technician

At SUPERVALU, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists with processing prescriptions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy department.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions, verifying patient information, and gathering necessary demographic and insurance data.
- Operate computer systems to input prescription data, print labels, and maintain sales records.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient records and maintain knowledge of drug names and their uses.
- Process prescription returns, order and stock prescription medication, and perform department receiving and stocking duties.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and referring customers to pharmacists as needed.
- Comply with standard operating procedures for handling and dispensing hazardous drugs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other staff members.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate various office equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and extended hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
