Product Development Senior Associate

Warehouse Workers, LLC. is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Senior Associate to join our team in New York City. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners to scale product development and expand our high-quality assortment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Product Development Manager to serve as a point of contact between internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners for new product development.
  • Ensure the quoting and sampling process proceeds in a timely and organized manner according to the Product Development calendar.
  • Advocate for the elevation of product quality and design standards.
  • Expand the network of manufacturing partners by leveraging industry knowledge and connections.
  • Provide clear and concise technical feedback to manufacturing partners, including reviewing product shop drawings.
  • Partner cross-functionally with the Operations team to develop domestic and international supply chains for both existing and new categories.
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of experience in domestic or international design sourcing, product development, and/or product operations; furniture startup experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a home retail or boutique commercial furnishings manufacturing organization or design firm.
  • Experience moving products from concept to market with strong knowledge of furniture design and construction.
  • Ability to critically review furniture shop drawings from manufacturing partners.
  • Connections within the industry, including manufacturers and material resources, are an asset.
  • Creative negotiator with a proven ability to navigate various stakeholders and priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD required; working knowledge of Rhino and data management or PLM systems (e.g. Fohlio, Spexx, Specsources) considered a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
