Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist Level II to join our team in Palo Alto, California.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Radiation Therapist Level II to perform routine and specialized radiation treatments in accordance with treatment plans developed by physicians. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Competently perform routine and specialized radiation treatments in accordance with treatment plans developed by physicians.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
  • May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
  • ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists.
  • RHTT-Therapeutic Radiologic Technology by the Radiologic Health Branch.
  • OR RHA-Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology by the Radiologic Health Branch.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
  • 2 years recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of radiation therapy principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Capable of performing routine radiation treatment and simulations.
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures.
