Position: Refrigeration Systems Supervisor

Location: Canton, OH

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with flexibility for off shifts

Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000

Position Summary: As a Refrigeration Systems Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the daily functions, upkeep, and safety protocols of ammonia refrigeration systems within the facility. Your leadership will guide a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and enhancing system efficiency through proactive maintenance and problem-solving.

Key Duties:

  • System Oversight: Perform routine inspections and evaluations of ammonia refrigeration systems to guarantee peak performance and early identification of potential concerns.
  • Repair & Maintenance: Direct the troubleshooting, servicing, and repair of ammonia refrigeration apparatus and related manufacturing systems, including the interpretation of technical documents such as electrical diagrams and service manuals.
  • Team Management: Oversee and mentor a group of refrigeration technicians in executing both scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks, providing necessary technical guidance and training.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Partner with the plant maintenance team to ensure the seamless operation of all plant machinery, encompassing production, packaging, and utility systems.
  • Safety Enforcement: Uphold standard operating procedures and safety protocols, ensuring all maintenance tasks align with industry-specific safety standards.
  • Physical Responsibilities: Engage in and supervise various physical tasks, which may include lifting materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights, often in diverse temperature conditions.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake extra projects and duties as assigned by management to support the overall maintenance strategy of the facility.

Qualifications:

  • Essential Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
  • Ability to successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment contingencies.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in ammonia refrigeration or equivalent education.
  • Familiarity with boilers and steam systems.
  • Capability to pass a respiratory fit test.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety standards.
