  • Ensure that work and cleaning schedules are followed closely, reporting any accidents or incidents to your supervisor immediately.
  • Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services, ensuring a seamless and efficient operation.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA requirements and established fire safety policies, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Follow safety precautions when using equipment and supplies, reporting any hazardous conditions or equipment to your supervisor.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
  • Mix chemicals, disinfectants, and cleaning solutions according to manufacturer's instructions, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Report maintenance issues such as burned-out light bulbs, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
  • Assist with lifting heavy equipment or supplies as needed, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Clean and properly store equipment at the end of each shift, ensuring a high level of organization and cleanliness.

Requirements:

  • Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
  • Maintain the care and use of supplies and equipment, ensuring the cleanliness of housekeeping areas.
  • Perform regular inspections of resident rooms for sanitation, order, and safety.
  • Ability to seek out and incorporate new methods and principles into housekeeping practices.
  • Follow written and oral instructions for mixing cleaning compounds and disinfecting solutions.
  • Relate information concerning a resident's condition accurately.
