Job Title: Insurance Operations Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Coordinator to join our team at Dental Associates Group. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and coordinating insurance-related tasks to ensure efficient and accurate billing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify Patients' Insurance Coverage: Verify patients' insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments to ensure seamless billing and payment processes.
  • Process Dental Insurance Claims: Submit and process dental insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner to minimize delays and denials.
  • Resolve Claim Discrepancies: Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and appeals to ensure prompt resolution and maintain positive relationships with insurance companies.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and team members to resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient insurance records in the practice management software to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Assist patients with insurance-related questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Coordinate Pre-Authorizations: Coordinate pre-authorizations and referrals as needed to ensure timely and effective treatment.
  • Stay Informed: Stay informed about changes in dental insurance policies and procedures to maintain knowledge and expertise.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Insurance Billing Experience: Insurance billing and code processing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Dental Insurance Knowledge: Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, procedures, and coding (CPT, ICD-10, and ADA codes).
  • Practice Management Software: Proficiency with dental practice management software and electronic claims submission.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
