This role is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours of work per week throughout the year.

The standard working hours for Custodians are Monday to Friday, from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

Work schedules may be adjusted based on departmental needs, and there may be a requirement for overtime, weekend, and holiday shifts as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning duties in designated areas across the campus.
  • Conduct light maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Manage snow removal during winter months.
  • Assist with bed making during the summer conference season.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Experience in general cleaning and maintenance, including carpet and floor care, is preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Capability to follow established guidelines from operating manuals, safety data sheets, and safety regulations concerning personal protection and equipment usage.
  • Proficiency in operating cleaning machinery and sanitizing dispensing units.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift and transport heavy items, up to 50 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to utilize wearable equipment effectively.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. The starting pay for this role is $18.75 per hour.
