Cancer Center RN Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Cancer Center of Singing River Health System.

Job Summary:

The Cancer Center RN is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals affected by cancer. As a Registered Nurse, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care, educate patients and families, and promote a culture of excellence and compassion.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Collaborate with oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a NLN-accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Mississippi
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care
