Position Overview:
We are seeking seasoned pre-sales experts with a proven history of assisting large enterprises in becoming more data-centric. Collaborating closely with the Account Executive (AE), the Retail and CPG Senior Solutions Engineer will establish and guide the technical strategy for our most significant accounts, fostering broader utilization of our offerings and deeper integration of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Your Responsibilities:
Utilize your extensive experience in value-based selling, technical account oversight, and leadership to enhance success in these accounts.
While collaborating with a team that includes hands-on specialists who will create proofs of concept and showcase Databricks' solutions, you must possess a technical acumen and comprehend the relevance and application of ML & AI across various use cases pertinent to the Retail and CPG sectors.

Your Impact:
You will serve as the primary technical representative for Databricks with 1-2 clients.
Guide your clients through a transformative journey, assisting them in evaluating and integrating Databricks into their strategic framework.
Implement the technical strategy within the account, ensuring alignment with the overarching strategy.
Foster a community of technical advocates within the account.
Align technical approaches with Databricks solutions.
Provide structured mentorship to fellow team members.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing substantial accounts (>$1m ARR) in the Retail and CPG sectors.
- 3+ years in a pre-sales role or supporting sales initiatives.
- Technical proficiency in big data, data science, and cloud technologies.
- Proven ability in data-driven business transformation and leveraging data to drive change.
- 3+ years of design and implementation experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP or comprehensive data science solutions.
- Experience in maintaining and evolving production data systems to meet complex customer requirements.
- Proficient programming skills in Python, R, Scala, or Java.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Databricks Certification.
