Key ResponsibilitiesSurgical Services Technician (Operating Room Technician)
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment. Your duties will include:
- Preparing and organizing surgical supplies and equipment.
- Setting up sterile instrument tables for procedures.
- Assisting in patient positioning and skin preparation for surgery.
- Maintaining strict sterile techniques and monitoring for potential breaches.
- Supporting the surgical team during operations by passing instruments and materials.
- Monitoring patient status throughout surgical procedures.
- Cleaning and sterilizing equipment post-procedure.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program is required.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is mandatory (CAAHEP, NCCT, NBSTSA).
- BLS certification is required (American Heart or American Red Cross).
- Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
