Electrical Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team at Deanna Nesbit & Associates, Inc., LLC. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing project costs and providing competitive bids for electrical installations and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand the scope of work.
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess project requirements, identify potential challenges, and gather relevant information.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment needed for electrical projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to clarify project details and address concerns.
  • Develop competitive bid proposals and present them to potential clients professionally.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing with clients to secure new business opportunities.
  • Track and manage project estimates, budgets, and expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to electrical estimating.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the electrical industry, preferably in light commercial and residential settings.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation methods.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for accurately calculating project costs.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed.
