Job Summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to support our oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in project execution, mechanical design, and engineering evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide project support for mechanical efforts on oil and gas projects, including compressor stations, meter stations, pump stations, pipeline installation, natural gas processing plants, and central gathering facilities.
  • Work directly with the mechanical engineering team and design team for project execution support.
  • Travel to support field work activities, including site commissioning.
  • Conduct engineering evaluations, including P&IDs, process/hydraulic calculations, and engineering evaluations.
  • Review and prepare line lists and equipment lists.
  • Review project isometrics to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with the project team to resolve project issues.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Experience in the design of mechanical engineering systems for non-commercial, heavy industrial plants, including oil and gas projects.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment and piping systems.
  • Customer service-oriented with a passion for high customer satisfaction and project execution excellence.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff, including senior management, clients, and other disciplines.
  • Ability to analyze, define, and solve problems.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain flexible.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
