Job Description:
GPM Truck Center is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to fill a critical role in our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, utilizing strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Perform brake and suspension repairs
  • Perform engine and transmission repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy-duty truck repair
  • Cummins Certifications a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Must have own tools
  • Valid driver's license
