At Amazon, we're revolutionizing the way people connect with each other and access information. Our Project Kuiper initiative aims to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites, providing low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide.

The Role

You'll be part of our sub-team responsible for defining and implementing digital chips (SOCs) for satellite communications. This is a unique opportunity to create a groundbreaking wireless solution with minimal legacy constraints. You'll collaborate with customer requirements and wireless system teams to design modems, high-speed interfaces, embedded processors, and DSP solutions using the latest CMOS technologies.

In this role, you'll:

  • Implement a cutting-edge verification environment to test RTL against reference Matlab/C models.
  • Develop detailed test plans, write tests, run regressions, collect coverage matrices, and report progress to the program.
  • Participate in FPGA validation using test benches reusable for ASIC implementation.
  • Run formal verification of complex blocks to ensure functional correctness.
  • Work with the design and communication systems team, participating in system-level verification using test benches constructed with UVM, System C, and DPI-C.
  • Develop a highly automated environment to run regressions for builds and maintain database organization.
Requirements

We require candidates to be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as refugees or granted asylum due to applicable export control laws and regulations.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in verification, preferably in communication systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in UVM, C, System C, and scripting.
Preferred Qualifications

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in digital verification, preferably in communication systems.
  • Familiarity with Matlab.
  • Familiarity with formal verification techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.

Compensation

This role offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $129,800/year to $212,800/year, depending on location. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, you may also be eligible for equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package.
