Job Responsibilities
As a Feed Bagger & Maker, you'll be responsible for:
Maintaining knowledge of the commodities handled at the facility and ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Providing exceptional customer service and interacting with them in a professional manner.
Preparing railcars and trucks for loading and unloading operations, which involves sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching or detaching flexible hoses.
Operating heavy or light-duty machinery to load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and trucks, potentially handling bulk or packaged materials.
Overseeing and controlling all loading operations.
Utilizing automated scale and dump systems.
Performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks, including lubricating equipment and inspecting in-use equipment for leaks and seeps.
Maintaining the quality of inventory (including blended, bulk, or packaged products) and conducting necessary record-keeping.
Delivering products like fertilizer, chemicals, seeds, and feed to customer sites.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace, performing regular housekeeping duties, and completing relevant record-keeping.
Participating in grounds maintenance, snow removal, and warehouse work, including operating a loader, loading/unloading inventory, and forklift operation.
Reporting any customer complaints, repair needs, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Promoting a strong safety culture and adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
- Operations knowledge and/or business operations
- Meets minimum age requirement
- Operates machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
- Works extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
- High School diploma or GED preferred
