Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technical Lead to join our team at the City and County of San Francisco. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to our Pharmacy team, ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of our Epic Willow Pharmacy system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to Pharmacy team members, ensuring the effective use of Epic Willow Pharmacy system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and implement Pharmacy workflows and processes.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to optimize Pharmacy operations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and user guides to support Pharmacy team members.
  • Work closely with vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve Pharmacy operations and patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Seven years of experience in system administration, information systems development, maintenance, and support, or information technology project management, including five years of experience implementing and supporting Epic Willow.
  • Epic Certification or proficiency in Willow Inpatient, Ambulatory, or Inventory.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with the full lifecycle of Epic implementation and/or Epic upgrade.
  • Epic Certification or Proficiency in Willow Pharmacy AND Willow Ambulatory AND Willow Inventory.
  • Knowledge of Lean fundamentals, including A3 thinking, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen events.
  • Background and knowledge of clinical workflows.
  • Knowledge of core functions and processes of the billing office.
  • Knowledge of the billing office's integration with other departments in the organization.
  • Knowledge and comprehension of revenue cycle management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of flow diagramming applications and collaboration platforms, SharePoint.
