Position Overview

Role Responsibilities

The Racquets Professional/Men's Coordinator will collaborate with the Director of Racquets to establish a thorough program for men's activities, encompassing both competitive and recreational elements.

This position calls for an enthusiastic leader with a strong commitment to racquet sports, capable of fostering a lively and inclusive community for players across all ages and skill levels.

Key Duties
  • Collaborate with the Director of Racquets to design a well-rounded program for men's activities, including both competitive and recreational options.
  • Act as a passionate advocate for racquet sports.
  • Deliver private and group lessons to participants of all ages.
  • Exhibit high-level skills in tennis and pickleball while providing tailored instruction to members of varying abilities to enhance their skills and build relationships.
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient daily operations of the club's racquets facilities, creating an environment that reflects the club's values.
  • Encourage member engagement by assisting in the planning of new events that promote sportsmanship and camaraderie within the club. Organize and manage tournaments, clinics, social events, and other racquet-related activities to maximize member participation.
  • In partnership with the Director of Racquets, develop a comprehensive calendar of events, leagues, and activities that cater to all skill levels.
  • Participate in administrative tasks related to the ICC shop and junior summer programs.
  • Adhere to the ICC teaching philosophy and implement it throughout the racquets programs.
  • Understand the department's POS operations to ensure accurate billing and reporting.
  • Attend all relevant staff meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with the club's esteemed maintenance team.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of experience in teaching tennis and related activities.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and members.
  • Proficient in English communication (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Must meet insurance requirements for automobile coverage.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • USPTA Elite or PTR certification required.
  • USTA playing ability of at least 5.0.
  • Service-oriented mindset.
